Especially early on, don't let baby sleep through feeds
Try to feed every 2-3 hours
Cluster feeding, where the baby wants to eat more frequently, is normal. Please allow baby to feed during cluster feeds
Try to burp baby half way through the bottle, or before switching sides if breast feeding
A little spit up is okay
Most of the time, let your baby guide you on how much to feed.

Always remember you can call your hospital, even after delivery, and ask to meet with the lactation nurse
Try a different hold

Pillow hold
Cross the front hold
Make sure that as much of the areola is in babies mouth as possible. This will also help with nipple pain
Try a nipple shield for a better latch
Tickle babies feet or irritate baby gently to keep them awake during feeds
Make sure you are using both sides equally
Start slow, around 15 ml or 1/2 oz of formula per feeding.
You baby will soon want to increase the amount, usually to around 30 ml or 1 oz of formula per feed
Most spit up is normal, but if you see blood or projectile vomit, notify Dr. Munn
Generic baby formula is just as good as name brand!
